Thomas Roston is a cardiology trainee at the University of British Columbia, and a PhD student at the University of Alberta. His research focuses on the interplay between genetics and arrhythmia.

Michael Chiu

Michael Chiu is a Cardiology fellow at the University of Calgary. He has a research background in structural biochemistry with research interests in atherosclerosis.

Amine Mazine, MD, MSc

Cardiac Surgery Resident

Amine Mazine

Amine Mazine is a Cardiac Surgery resident at the University of Toronto. He completed his medical degree at the University of Montreal School of Medicine. During his time in medical school, he also obtained a Master’s of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Amine’s research supervisor is Dr. Subodh Verma. His clinical research focuses on the postoperative antithrombotic management of patients undergoing bioprosthetic valve replacement. His other interests include complex valvular surgery and congenital heart disease.
